After-School Pottery Program Pottery Handbuilding Pottery for Kids – Dundas Studio, Toronto

Give your kids a fun and creative break from screens with our After-School Pottery Handbuilding Program in Toronto. Designed for kids ages 6 to 12, this weekly 1.5-hour class at our Dundas studio is where imagination, hands-on play, and learning come together.

Kids will roll up their sleeves and explore clay through guided projects, themed workshops, decorating techniques, and colorful pottery painting. Each session introduces new skills while encouraging creativity, curiosity, and confidence. Our friendly instructors support every child’s unique ideas, making the studio a space where creativity has no limits.

Schedule
Group 1: Tuesdays
Group 2: Wednesdays

Booking Options
• Once a week — choose Tuesdays or Wednesdays
• Twice a week — join both days for extra clay time

Throughout the program, children will create a collection of handmade pieces from pinch pots and clay animals to creative seasonal projects. At the end, they’ll choose their favorite works to be fired, glazed, and finished in the kiln. These final pieces will be food-safe, durable, and ready to use or proudly gift.

Whether your child is brand new to pottery or already loves making with their hands, this after-school program offers community, creativity, and a chance to unwind and express themselves.

Who is it for

This class is for 6-Week Kids Program runs every Tues and Wed. Single registration available for kids ages 6–12.

What to expect

  • Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry.
  • The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up.
  • Your pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
  • This class is 1.5 hour sessions every Tues and Wed.
  • This class includes Class instruction and finished pieces throughout the class

What to bring

  • Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
  • Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.

Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks, and Indemnity Agreement.


 By signing this document, you will waive certain legal rights, including the right to sue. In consideration of Clay With Me, allowing any and all children and/or accompanying adults who enter the facility under the direct or indirect supervision of the undersigned (all of whom are hereinafter collectively referred to as "the Participant"), to use their facilities, I hereby for myself, the Participant, their heirs, executors, administrators, or anyone who might claim on their behalf warrant and agree as follows:


  1. That I recognize that pottery work in the premises does involve a certain normal inherent risk of injury, as does pottery work at any studio with any such equipment. Such activities may be of a hazardous, strenuous, and/or physical nature, cause injuries, and participation in said activities may result in injury, death or property damage.

  1. That I am either the Participant's parent, guardian, or have been duly authorized by their parent or guardian to execute this waiver on their behalf. 

  1. To waive any and all claims that I have, or the Participant may have, now or in the future against Clay With Me and their Directors, Officers, employees, agents, and representatives (all of whom are hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Management"). 

  1. To release and discharge the Management from any liability or any loss, damage, injury or expense to person or property that I or the Participant may suffer as a result of the Participant using the premises. 

  1. To hold harmless and indemnify the Management from any and all liability for any property damage or personal injury to any third party, resulting from the Participant using the premises.

  1. To indemnify the Management from all costs and claims brought against the Management on behalf of the Participant.

  1. That I have read the Management's safety rules and have ensured that the Participant has been made aware and understands them. I warrant that the Participant is in good physical condition and physically able to participate in activities within the premises. 

  1. That this agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, and assigns.


Photo Release


I understand that my child(ren) may be photographed or filmed at Clay With Me Pottery during camp hours, field trips, or activities. These photos/videos may be used to promote the studio’s services in print or online.

By selecting 'Yes', I grant permission for my child(ren) to be photographed/filmed for promotional use. I acknowledge it is my responsibility to update this form if I no longer wish to authorize these uses. This release remains in effect during my child’s enrollment. I understand that no payment will be made for my or my child’s participation in this release.
