Looking for an outdoor silk screen ceramics workshop in Toronto? This hands-on class teaches you how to apply screen printing techniques directly onto pottery in a simple, beginner-friendly format.

What You’ll Do

• Learn how silk screening works on ceramics (1 final finished piece)
• Choose from a selection of pre-made screens and designs
• Choose from our selection of pre-made handmade ceramics (mug or similar in size) You can upgrade to larger items and pay the difference in price.
• Apply layered prints onto your ceramic piece
• Explore composition, placement, and pattern building
• Finish your piece with glaze

Outdoor Studio Experience

• Fully outdoor class with covered shade (gazebo setup)
Water stations available to stay hydrated
Hand washing stations on-site
• Steps from Graffiti Alley for creative inspiration
• Open-air, relaxed environment for summer

What You’ll Create

• One functional ceramic piece with silk screen designs
• Layered prints using ceramic-safe inks and techniques

After Your Workshop

• Your piece will be glazed and kiln fired by our team
• Ready for pickup in approximately 3 weeks

Finished pieces will be food-safe and dishwasher-safe.

What to expect

  • Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
  • The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up
  • This class is 2 hours
  • This class includes 1
  • Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.

What to bring

  • Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
  • Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
