Set in our downtown Toronto pottery studio, each session takes place under the glow of candles, creating a calm and inspiring environment perfect for date nights, friends’ evenings, or solo creative resets.

What You’ll Experience:

In this handbuilding pottery series, you’ll learn foundational ceramic techniques including:

  • Pinching, coiling, and slab building

  • Shaping functional and decorative forms

  • Surface design and light carving details

  • Preparing your piece for glazing and firing

Our instructors will guide you step-by-step through demonstrations while giving you the freedom to explore your own ideas. Whether you’re creating a mug, bowl, vase, planter, or sculptural piece, this class is beginner-friendly and welcoming to all skill levels.

  • Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
  • The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up

What to bring

  • Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
  • Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
