Looking for a ceramic photo transfer workshop in Toronto? In this hands-on class, you’ll transfer a personal image onto a ceramic mug using a specialized ceramic printing process.
Hosted in our fully covered outdoor backyard studio, this workshop combines a unique technique with a relaxed, open-air environment.
What You’ll Do
• Transfer a personal photo onto a glazed ceramic mug
• Learn the step-by-step ceramic transfer process
• Apply and position your image with instructor guidance
Your image will appear black and white before firing and transform into a sepia-toned finish once kiln fired.
Outdoor Studio Experience
• Fully outdoor class with covered shade (gazebo setup)
• Water stations available to stay hydrated
• Hand washing stations on-site
• Steps from Graffiti Alley for creative inspiration
• Open-air, relaxed environment for summer
How It Works
• Your image is pre-printed using ceramic transfer paper
• Soak and apply the image onto your mug during class
• Final result is permanently fused into the glaze after firing

• Kiln firing after the workshop
Final piece will be food-safe and permanent.
After Your Workshop
• Your mug will be kiln fired to set the image
• Ready for pickup in approximately 3 weeks

- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry

What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
