Lights, camera… clay! In Week 1 of Clay With Me’s Summer Pottery Camp, kids will bring their favourite movie and cartoon characters to life using clay. From playful sculptures to functional pottery inspired by iconic characters, this week is all about imagination, storytelling, and hands-on creativity.
Throughout the week, campers will explore both wheel throwing and handbuilding, learning core ceramic skills while creating pieces they’ll be proud to take home. Each child will work on one larger handbuilding project and a smaller handbuilt piece, alongside plenty of time on the pottery wheel to build confidence and technique. The week is rounded out with creative games, crafts, and a bit of outdoor fun to keep energy high and minds inspired.
By the end of the week, full-day campers will create approximately 4–6 wheel-thrown pieces plus one large handbuilding project, resulting in meaningful ceramic keepsakes and lasting memories.

We promote a phone-free camp environment to encourage focus and creativity. If communication is needed, please ask your child to inform an instructor.

No make-up classes are available. If a class is missed, advance notice is appreciated to help us manage project progression.

While every effort is made to ensure success, the studio is not responsible for cracked, broken, or exploded pieces, as these are a natural part of the ceramic process.
A perfect week for kids who love movies, cartoons, and getting their hands dirty — this camp blends creativity, skill-building, and fun in a supportive studio environment.

What to expect
- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up

- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
