Our Kids Outdoor Pottery Day Camp is a fully outdoor program for ages 6–12, focused on clay, creativity, and learning new skills in a structured environment.

Location & Schedule

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Tuesdays & Wednesdays (choose your day)

Fully Outdoor Setup

This is a fully outdoor camp with a covered, shaded workspace (gazebo) so kids stay comfortable all day.

• Covered and protected from sun and rain
• Water station available to refill bottles
• Hand washing stations on-site
• Steps from Graffiti Alley for creative inspiration

What Kids Learn

Campers are guided through a mix of pottery techniques:

Wheel Throwing – basic shaping on the pottery wheel
Table Wheel Pottery – beginner-friendly seated wheel
Handbuilding – pinch pots, coils, slab projects
Painting & Surface Design – colour, carving, texture

Projects rotate and include structured creative activities.

After Camp

Selected pieces will be:

• Bisque fired
• Glazed by our team
• Kiln fired again

Final pieces are food-safe and durable, ready for pickup in approximately 3 weeks.

  • Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry

What to bring

  • Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
  • Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
