Clay With Me Celebrates 10 Years of Creativity, Community & Clay

On June 27, 2026, our community gathered at Clay With Me to celebrate an incredible milestone, 10 years of creativity, connection, and clay.

What began around a kitchen table has grown into one of Toronto's most welcoming pottery communities, offering pottery classes, pottery wheel workshops, handbuilding, paint-your-own pottery, kids' programs, and creative experiences for thousands of people every year.

Our anniversary celebration wasn't just about looking back. It was about celebrating the people, memories, and values that continue to shape who we are as we look toward the next chapter.

From a Kitchen Table to a Thriving Toronto Pottery Studio

Every creative journey starts somewhere.

For Clay With Me founder Gabby, it began by teaching pottery classes from her own kitchen. Students gathered around the table, learning new skills, getting their hands dirty, and discovering the joy of creating something from clay.

One tradition everyone remembers?

Popcorn.

Every child who came to class was greeted with fresh popcorn before diving into their creative projects. It was a small gesture that made everyone feel at home.

For our 10-year celebration, we decided to bring that tradition back.

Our anniversary popcorn stand became one of the day's favourite features, a reminder that while our studio has grown tremendously over the past decade, the heart of Clay With Me has never changed.

We still believe creativity begins by making people feel welcome.

A Day Dedicated to Making Together

Throughout the day, our studio buzzed with energy as hundreds of visitors joined us to experience clay in all its forms.

Guests were invited to try the pottery wheel during our free 10-minute drop-in pottery wheel sessions, giving many people their very first experience throwing clay.

Inside the studio, families and friends explored drop-in pottery painting and mosaic workshops, creating colourful keepsakes while spending quality time together.

Whether someone visited for ten minutes or spent the entire afternoon with us, our goal remained the same:

Bring people together through creativity.

That's always been what Clay With Me is about.

Music That Celebrated Culture and Connection

We were honoured to welcome internationally acclaimed musicians Eliana Cuevas and Jeremy Ledbetter for a live performance during our anniversary celebration.

Their intimate concert blended contemporary jazz with the rich traditions of Venezuelan folk music, creating an atmosphere that perfectly reflected the spirit of the day.

Jeremy, recipient of the 2025 Juno Award for Best Jazz Group, and Eliana, recognized among Canada's Top 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians, have spent more than 15 years creating music together.

Their performance showcased original compositions alongside beloved Venezuelan classics, filling our studio with stories, emotion, and joy.

Just like pottery, music has an incredible ability to bring people together—and their performance reminded us exactly why community matters.

Standing With Venezuela

While our anniversary celebrated the past ten years, it also reflected something equally important: supporting those who need it most.

Throughout the celebration, our backyard became a community donation hub where visitors dropped off non-perishable food, medical supplies, and essential items to support humanitarian relief efforts in Venezuela.

The generosity shown by our community was truly inspiring.

Clay With Me has always believed that art can create meaningful connections beyond the studio walls. Supporting our neighbours, celebrating different cultures, and helping one another has always been part of our mission.

Thank you to everyone who contributed.

Your kindness made this celebration even more meaningful.

Limited Edition Anniversary Collection

To commemorate our tenth anniversary, we released a limited collection of 10-Year Anniversary screen-printed T-shirts alongside handcrafted pottery aprons, each thoughtfully designed and created by our founder, Gabby.

These pieces represented more than merchandise.

They celebrated a decade of creativity, craftsmanship, and the hands-on spirit that has been part of Clay With Me since day one.

Looking Ahead to the Next Chapter

Ten years is an incredible milestone, but for us, it also marks a new beginning.

As Clay With Me continues to grow, we're excited to welcome even more people into our community through:

  • Pottery wheel classes

  • Handbuilding workshops

  • Paint Your Own Pottery experiences

  • Mosaic workshops

  • Kids pottery camps and after-school programs

  • Private parties and team-building events

  • Community collaborations throughout Toronto

Our commitment remains exactly the same as it was ten years ago:

Create welcoming spaces where people can slow down, connect, and make something meaningful with their hands.

Thank You for Being Part of Our Story

Over the past decade, thousands of people have become part of the Clay With Me family.

Some joined us for their very first pottery class.

Some celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and team events.

Some discovered a lifelong passion for ceramics.

Others grew up in our children's programs and returned years later to create again.

Every story, every piece of pottery, and every person has helped shape who we are today.

As we celebrate this milestone, we're filled with gratitude for everyone who has supported us along the way.

Thank you for believing in creativity.

Thank you for supporting local art.

Thank you for making Clay With Me what it is today.

Here's to the next ten years of clay, community, and creating together.

We can't wait to see what we'll make next.
