Food and ceramics have always belonged together.

Before meals were rushed, they were rituals. Before plates were mass-produced, they were shaped by hand. Sushi invites you to slow down and savour each bite, while ceramics are made to be used, revisited, and shared. This collaboration brings those traditions together in one immersive, thoughtfully curated experience.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

  • 2 handmade soy sauce dishes

  • 2 sculptural chopstick holders (one set for two)

  • A guided sushi-making workshop to enjoy—and eat

THE SUSHI MAKING EXPERIENCE

Guests are welcomed upstairs into our loft space with warm green tea before being guided into Toronto’s top-rated sushi making experience with Roll This Way.

As seen on NOW Toronto, To Do Toronto, CP24, Toronto Life, and ranked Top 10 Experiences Worldwide by Square, Roll This Way offers an energetic yet approachable introduction to authentic Japanese sushi making.

This Sushi Making 101 class is led by Toronto’s top sushi chef instructors and blends traditional technique with a relaxed, social atmosphere. You’ll learn essential sushi skills while preparing a full spread of classic rolls.

Sushi Workshop Includes:

  • One seat per guest with individual ingredients and tools

  • Live, guided instruction from a professional sushi chef

  • All materials provided (tools available for purchase onsite)

  • Sushi to enjoy during the class or take home

PAINT YOUR OWN SUSHI CERAMICS

After the sushi experience, guests head downstairs to our creative studio for a guided Paint Your Own Pottery workshop.

You’ll select from a curated collection of handmade ceramic pieces crafted in-house by our artists and paint:

  • 2 soy sauce dishes

  • 2 sculptural chopstick holders

Additional pieces will be available for purchase on the day, including sushi plates, bowls, rice figurines, and decorative pieces.

Using professional underglaze paints, you’ll decorate your ceramics in a relaxed, beginner-friendly environment. Once complete, your pieces will be clear glazed and kiln-fired by our team, making them food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher friendly. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup approximately three weeks after the workshop.

This collaboration is designed for food lovers, creatives, date days, and anyone looking for a hands-on experience that brings together craft, culture, and connection—at the table and beyond.
