Print on Clay: Silk Screen Ceramics Workshop – Toronto

Discover a new way to decorate pottery in this hands-on silk screen ceramics workshop at our Toronto studio. Inspired by traditional screen printing on canvas, this class brings the same technique onto clay allowing you to layer bold graphics, patterns, and textures directly onto ceramic surfaces.

Perfect for beginners and creatives alike, this workshop introduces you to the fundamentals of silk screening while exploring how ink and glaze interact on pottery.

What You’ll Do:

  • Learn how silk screening works on ceramics vs. fabric or paper
  • Choose from a curated selection of pre-made screens and designs
  • Apply layered prints onto your ceramic piece
  • Explore composition, placement, and repetition for a strong visual result
  • Finish your piece with glaze for a polished, kiln-fired finish

Our instructors will guide you step-by-step, making the process approachable and fun — whether you prefer clean, minimal prints or bold, expressive layering.

What You’ll Create:
Design and decorate your own functional ceramic piece using silk screen techniques. Each piece is finished with glaze and kiln-fired.

After the Workshop:
Your pottery will be professionally fired and ready for pickup in approximately 3 weeks. Finished pieces are food safe, dishwasher safe, and made to last.
