Mommies and Babies - 4 Week Program at Roncesvalles

Clay With Me Mommies and Babies is a 4-week program designed to create community for mothers who want to connect with each other through clay-based workshops. This is perfect for mothers with babies 0-8months old who seek a safe space where they can create a series of unique ceramic pieces alongside other women who are sharing the same experience of motherhood.

Each 2 hour class includes complimentary snacks and coffee and is led by an experienced instructor who provides personalized guidance and assistance with the babies through out the workshop.

By the end of the course, aside from creating connections with other mothers and babies in your community, you will have created at least two decorative and/or functional ceramic pieces containing the mark of your infant’s hand or foot imprint, all of which will be bisque fired, glazed, and kiln fired to be food safe and dishwasher safe.

Week by Week Breakdown:

Week 1 – Make your own Ornament

This class includes an introduction to the Mommy and Baby program for mothers to learn a bit more about each other before getting a tour of the studio then starting the workshop designed for leaving your baby’s hand and or foot imprint on flat ornaments, plates or decorative wall pieces.

Week 2 – Make your own Flower Vase

Also known as “Vase Grab” Workshop : 

Designed for 3d clay pieces like mugs, bowls or vases that your baby can “grab” and leave their precious finger marks, creating completely unique results. Our instructors will provide • 10-10:30am Coffee and snacks, Free Play with Sensory Activity for Babies

Week 3 – Make your own Jewelry Set

Create beautiful and unique ceramic jewelry

Week 4 – Paint your own Kitchen Set

Paint and decorate a set of mugs or plates from our fine collection of pre-thrown pottery and decorate it with your baby.

Who is it for

Mothers with babies 0-8 months.

What to expect

• Safe space and materials for babies to sleep, rest, breastfeed, play, crawl.

• 30 minutes before and after demos and assisted workshop to rest with your baby and connect over coffee with fellow mothers.

• Complimentary coffee and baby snacks.

• This class includes at least 2 fired pieces, with the option to fire more pieces for a fee
