Whether you're practicing wheel throwing, exploring handbuilding, or developing a personal collection of ceramic work, Open Studio is designed to help you create freely at your own pace.

What Is Open Studio?

Open Studio is a self-directed pottery membership program created for experienced potters who want access to a fully equipped pottery studio without formal instruction.

This membership is ideal for artists and makers looking for:

  • Access to professional pottery equipment
  • A creative ceramics community in Toronto
  • Flexible time for wheel throwing and handbuilding

Our Richmond Studio provides a calm, inspiring environment where creativity and craftsmanship come together.

Open Studio Requirements

Open Studio is intended for potters who:

  • Have at least 3 months of pottery experience
  • Can work independently without instructor supervision
  • Understand proper studio cleaning and shared workspace etiquette
  • Commit to a minimum 3-month membership
  • Complete a studio tour and orientation before joining

Makers Monday Membership

34 Hours Per Month — $185/month

Location: Richmond Studio, Toronto
Studio Access: Every Monday
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Enjoy a full day of pottery studio access every Monday in our creative downtown Toronto ceramics studio.

Create Freely With Access To:

Membership Includes

  • Easy online sign-up and scheduling
  • Unlimited access during Monday studio hours
  • Use of pottery wheels, handbuilding areas, studio tools, brushes, and house glazes
  • One glaze-firing shelf per month (up to 8" tall)
  • Personal shelf space (80 × 50 cm)
  • Firing turnaround time of approximately 3 weeks
  • Pottery tool kit and custom ceramic name tag
  • Exclusive 1:1 assistance from Junior or Senior instructors based on skill level
  • 10% OFF regular private pottery sessions

  • Clay available for purchase: $45 per 10 kg sleeve

  • Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
  • The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up

What to bring

  • Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
  • Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
