This hands-on holiday workshop is perfect for beginners, families, friends, date nights, or anyone looking for a unique Christmas craft activity in Toronto. You'll learn how to design and create your own mosaic piece with guidance from our experienced instructors.
What You'll Create
Choose your project and make it your own:
- Holiday ornament – Create a sparkling, handmade decoration for your Christmas tree.
- Wooden coaster – Design a functional piece with your own unique mosaic pattern.
- Glass tile – Create a colourful decorative piece.
- Ceramic plate upgrade – Upgrade to a ceramic plate for a larger, premium keepsake.
How the Mosaic Workshop Works
1. Choose Your Base
Select the piece you'd like to decorate and explore our selection of colourful ceramic, glass, and pottery pieces.
2. Create Your Design
Cut, arrange, and glue your materials to create your own mosaic design. Our instructors will guide you through the process and help you bring your idea to life.
3. Grout & Finish
Apply grout to complete your design and give your mosaic a finished look. You'll be able to take your creation home the same day.
Take Home Your Handmade Creation
Unlike pottery projects that require kiln firing, your mosaic is ready to take home on the day of the workshop. Once the grout has dried, simply polish your piece lightly with cooking oil to reveal a smooth, finished surface.
Your finished mosaic makes a beautiful handmade Christmas decoration, holiday keepsake, or thoughtful DIY gift for someone special.

Who is it for
This class is for single registration for students of all ages and levels
What to expect
- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up
- This class is 1.5 hr session
- This class includes 1 ornament
- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
