Slow down, get your hands into clay, and build your skills over four intentional weeks of handbuilding.

This 4-week pottery handbuilding course is designed for beginners and returning makers who want to explore clay at a relaxed, supportive pace—no wheel required. Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, you’ll learn foundational handbuilding techniques while creating functional and sculptural ceramic pieces from start to finish.

Each week, you’ll explore techniques such as pinch pots, slab building, and coil construction, with room to experiment, personalize your work, and develop your own creative voice. Our instructors will guide you through form, surface design, and finishing techniques, while encouraging curiosity and play.

Over the course of the program, you’ll create multiple pieces, selecting your favourites to be bisque fired, glazed, and kiln fired by our studio team. Finished ceramics will be food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe, ready to use or gift.

This course is perfect for those looking to:

  • Learn pottery in a low-pressure, welcoming environment

  • Build confidence and consistency with clay

  • Create meaningful, handmade pieces over time

  • Enjoy a weekly creative ritual and community connection

All materials, tools, firings, and glazes are included. No prior experience necessary.
