Fall in love with clay and cats this Valentineās Day. Join us at our Richmond studio for a playful, cozy handbuilding workshop where youāll create your very own cat-inspired ceramic piece. Think adorable kitty sculptures, whimsical planters, ring dishes, or whatever feline form your heart desires.
This beginner-friendly class is all about slowing down, getting your hands messy, and enjoying the creative process in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Whether youāre celebrating with a partner, a friend, or treating yourself to a solo date, this workshop is the purr-fect way to spend Valentineās Day.
Our instructor will guide you step-by-step through handbuilding techniques like pinching, coiling, and sculptingāno experience needed. Once your piece is complete, weāll fire and glaze it, making it food-safe and ready for pickup after the workshop.

- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up

- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
