Beginner Wheel Throwing Class – Richmond Studio, Toronto

New to the pottery wheel or looking for some extra spin time? This 2-hour beginner wheel throwing class in Toronto is perfect for anyone wanting a low-commitment introduction to the wheel or the chance to refine their skills at their own pace. Create a mug, bowl, or similar piece in a flexible, no-pressure environment designed for learning and experimentation.

Your class begins with a guided demo from an experienced instructor, who will be available throughout the session to provide as much or as little support as you need. You will have time to create a few pieces, and afterward, you can choose to purchase additional pieces to be fired and glazed. One piece is included in the class, with extra pieces available for $10 each.

After class, your pieces will be bisque fired, coated with a clear glaze, and kiln fired again to make them food safe, dishwasher safe, and ready for everyday use or gifting.

Pro tip: For the best experience, we recommend starting with this 2-hour Beginner Wheel Class before moving on to a longer 3-hour session. It is a great way to get comfortable on the wheel and see if pottery is right for you.

Join us at our Toronto pottery studio for a fun, hands-on, and creative introduction to wheel throwing.
