Spicy Balkan ✕ Clay with Me: An International Women’s Day Celebration Full of Fire, Creativity & Connection

This International Women’s Day, Clay with Me partnered with The Spicy Balkan for an afternoon that was equal parts pottery workshop, coffee ritual, and celebration of unapologetic womanhood.

Hosted at our downtown Toronto pottery studio, the event brought together women from all walks of life to slow down, connect, laugh loudly, and create something meaningful with their hands.

Guests spent the afternoon painting ceramic espresso cups and bowls while sipping traditional Turkish coffee served Balkan-style by The Spicy Balkan. The studio was filled with conversation, storytelling, music, and the kind of warmth that happens when women come together without pressure to be anything other than themselves.

Every guest also received a copy of No Filter, Just Fire: Balkan Women & Their Unapologetic Truths, a rose, and Spicy Balkan paprika to take home—a reminder that creativity, culture, and community all belong at the same table.

The workshop was inspired by the women who are often told they are “too much.” Too loud. Too emotional. Too honest. Too ambitious. But instead of shrinking, this event celebrated those qualities fully.

From friends attending together to solo guests who left with new connections, the afternoon became more than a pottery workshop. It became a space to celebrate softness and strength at the same time.

We believe creativity should feel approachable, social, and memorable—and collaborations like this are exactly why we love what we do.
