Paint Your Persian Egg: A Nowruz Pottery Painting Workshop

Nowruz marks the Persian New Year and the arrival of spring — a celebration of renewal, hope, and fresh beginnings that has been observed for thousands of years. At the heart of this tradition is the Haft-Sin table, a beautifully arranged display of symbolic elements representing wishes for the year ahead, including growth, health, love, patience, and prosperity.

One of the most meaningful symbols on the Haft-Sin table is the egg, representing new life, fertility, and renewal. Traditionally hand-decorated, eggs celebrate the start of spring and the promise of fresh beginnings.

To honour this beautiful holiday, we invite you to join us for Paint Your Egg, a special pottery painting workshop inspired by the Haft-Sin tradition. In this hands-on experience, each participant will receive two ceramic eggs included with registration.

Workshop pricing includes:

  • 2 ceramic eggs for $45

  • Additional ceramic eggs available for $17 each, allowing you to create a full set for your Haft-Sin display if you wish

Participants will paint and decorate their ceramic eggs using underglaze techniques, patterns, and personal symbolism. Once completed, all pieces will be professionally glazed and kiln-fired, creating a smooth, glossy finish and a keepsake you can enjoy for years to come.

Whether you are celebrating Nowruz with loved ones or discovering this holiday for the first time, this workshop offers a meaningful way to connect with culture, creativity, and the joy of welcoming spring.
