🚀 Week 6: Space Voyagers
August 10–14
Blast off into Week 6 of Clay With Me’s Summer Pottery Camp, where kids explore the wonders of outer space through clay. From sculpting planets, rockets, and astronauts to designing alien-inspired creatures and futuristic vessels, this week sparks curiosity, imagination, and creative exploration beyond Earth.
Campers will work with both wheel throwing and handbuilding, building core pottery skills while creating space-themed ceramic projects. Each child will complete one larger handbuilding project and a smaller handbuilt piece, alongside dedicated time on the pottery wheel to develop confidence, coordination, and technique. Creative games, crafts, and some outdoor fun help keep campers energized throughout the week.
By the end of the week, full-day campers will create approximately 4–6 wheel-thrown pieces plus one large handbuilding project, resulting in out-of-this-world ceramic keepsakes and lasting memories.

We promote a phone-free camp environment to encourage focus, creativity, and connection. If communication is needed, please ask your child to inform an instructor.

No make-up classes are available. If a class is missed, advance notice is appreciated to help us manage project progression.

While every effort is made to ensure successful firing, the studio is not responsible for cracked, broken, or exploded pieces, as these are a natural part of the ceramic process.
A perfect week for curious explorers who dream of the stars — this camp invites young artists to imagine boldly, create fearlessly, and shape their own universe in clay.

Who is it for
This class is for Single registration for kids aged 6–16
What to expect
- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up
- This class is 4 days of classes, as booked
- This class includes class instruction and finished pieces throughout the class
- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
