Our Teen Clay Summer Day Camp at our Richmond Studio is a fully outdoor pottery experience designed for ages 12–17 — combining professional ceramic instruction with fresh air and summer energy.
🌿 This is a fully outdoor camp.
We operate in a completely covered, shaded area, so campers stay protected from sun and rain. Weather won’t be an issue — our setup is designed to run comfortably all summer long.

📍 Location: Downtown Toronto – Richmond Studio Major Intersection is Richmond and Spadina.

What Teens Will Explore at Our Toronto Outdoor Pottery Camp
Throughout the day, campers will explore:
🏺 Wheel Throwing – Learn to center and shape clay on the pottery wheel
🌀 Pottery Table Wheel – A seated, beginner-friendly wheel option
✋ Handbuilding Techniques – Pinching, coiling, slab building, sculpting
🎨 Decorative Techniques – Painting, carving, and surface design
🧠 Creative challenges and guided projects
This outdoor pottery camp in Toronto gives teens space to unplug, build confidence, and create meaningful pieces — all in a safe, social, and supportive environment. Kids will receive 2 final pieces each day.
A True Outdoor Summer Experience
Because we’re outdoors all day (in our shaded, covered setup), teens enjoy:
• Fresh air and movement
• NO DEVICES
• Creative breaks and summer energy
• A relaxed, open environment
• 1 wheel piece and 1 hand built project per day
🥪 Campers are encouraged to bring lunch
🧊 A fridge is available onsite for food storage
After the Camp Day
Teens will select their favourite piece to be:
• Bisque fired
• Clear glazed by our team
• Kiln fired again
Final creations are food-safe and dishwasher-friendly, ready to use at home.

What to expect
- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up

- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
