Get into the holiday spirit! In this festive 3-hour workshop, you’ll handbuild your very own gingerbread house out of clay. Using beginner-friendly techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab-building, we’ll guide you step by step to create a one-of-a-kind holiday centerpiece that lasts for years to come.
No experience needed, all levels welcome, just bring your holiday spirit and let your creativity flow. We’ll kick off with a guided demo, then give you plenty of time and support to craft your house with personal details and charm.
Important Note: To have your gingerbread house ready in time for Christmas, you must attend a workshop before December 1. Because your piece will need to dry, be bisque fired, glazed, and fired again, the full process takes about 3 weeks.
Each house will be finished with a clear glaze and kiln-fired to make it a lasting.

What to expect
- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up
- This class is one, 3 hour session
- This class includes class instruction and one fired and clear glazed gingerbread house
- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
