Our Outdoor Table Wheel Pottery Class in Downtown Toronto is a hands-on workshop designed for beginners and anyone curious to explore wheel throwing in a fresh, open-air setting and painting your piece to finish it off! No prior experience required.

In this class, you will:

• Work with professional clay using our unique tabletop pottery wheels
• Learn essential wheel techniques: centering, opening, and pulling
• Includes painting your piece
• Explore shaping, form building, and refining your piece
• Receive guidance from experienced Toronto pottery instructors
• Enjoy a relaxed, beginner-friendly environment designed for all skill levels

Outdoor Studio Experience

• Fully outdoor class with covered shade structure (gazebo)
Water stations available to stay cool and hydrated
Hand washing stations on-site for convenience
• Direct access to Graffiti Alley for creative inspiration
• Open-air setting designed for a more social, summer-friendly experience

What You Can Create

• A functional ceramic piece such as a cup, bowl, or small vase
• Experiment freely while receiving one-on-one support

After Your Class

• Select 1 favorite piece to be professionally fired and glazed
• Finished pottery will be food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe
• Pickup available approximately 3 weeks after your class

  • Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
  • The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up

  • Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.

What to bring

  • Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
  • Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
