Our Kids Outdoor Pottery Day Camp at our Richmond Studio is designed for children ages 6–12 who love to get creative, explore new skills, and spend their summer making something with their hands.
🌿 This is a fully outdoor camp.
We operate in a completely covered and shaded outdoor area, so campers stay protected from sun and rain. Weather won’t interrupt the fun — our setup runs comfortably all summer long. Water cooler available to refill water bottles so kids stay hydrated!

What Kids Will Explore at Our Toronto Outdoor Pottery Camp
Each week, campers will explore:
🏺 Wheel Throwing – Learn the basics of shaping clay on the pottery wheel
🌀 Pottery Table Wheel – A kid-friendly, easy-to-use seated wheel option
✋ Handbuilding Techniques – Pinch pots, coil creations, slab projects
🎨 Painting & Decorative Techniques – Color, texture, carving, and themed designs
🎭 Themed Workshops & Creative Challenges – Designed to spark imagination
With guidance from our friendly instructors, children will play, experiment, and express themselves in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment while building creativity, confidence, and community.
A True Outdoor Summer Experience
Because camp runs entirely outdoors (in our shaded, covered space, gazebo is going up this summer), kids enjoy:
• Fresh air and movement
• NO DEVICES
• Structured creative time balanced with summer fun
• A relaxed, open setting that encourages exploration
🥪 Campers are encouraged to bring lunch
🧊 A fridge is available onsite for food storage
After Camp
At the end of their camp day, kids will select their favourite pieces to be:
• Bisque fired
• Glazed by our team
• Kiln fired again
Their finished pottery will be food-safe, durable, and ready to use or gift at home — meaningful keepsakes from their summer.

What to expect
- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up

- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
