Celebrate the season with clay in our Easter Egg Holder Handbuilding Workshop at our Richmond Studio. In this beginner-friendly pottery class, you’ll create your own ceramic egg holder from slab using traditional handbuilding techniques.
Inspired by spring gatherings and Easter brunch tables, this workshop guides you through transforming a flat slab of clay into a beautifully shaped, functional egg tray — perfect for displaying decorated eggs, serving deviled eggs, or styling your holiday table.

Our instructors will demonstrate each step, then guide you as you build and personalize your piece. You can keep it minimal and modern, add delicate spring-inspired textures, or experiment with playful patterns.
After the workshop, your egg holder will be professionally glazed and kiln-fired, resulting in a durable, food-safe ceramic piece ready for your Easter table.

What to expect
- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up

- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
