Discover the joy of handbuilding in clay with this fun and creative 2-hour workshop!
You’ll start with 3 kg of stoneware clay and use the subtractive method to shape and refine it into a unique, functional piece that can serve as both a flower vase and a candle holder—one piece, two uses!
After the workshop, you’ll choose your glaze color from our selection, and we’ll take care of both firings and applying the glaze once you’ve left.

What to expect
- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up
- This class is one, 2 hour session including cleaning
- This class includes 3 kg of clay you can create with and we will glaze and fire
- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
Please note:
- Purchases are nonrefundable, and rescheduling requires 72 hours' notice.
- The studio is not liable for lost or broken pieces, recognizing explosions and cracks as inherent in the ceramic process.
- Please be sure to arrive on time, late arrivals may be denied entry.
