With two locations in Toronto, (Dundas Street West and Richmond Street West), we offer a range of pottery experiences for adults and children including beginner to advanced wheel throwing, handbuilding, and Paint Your Own Pottery.

ROLE DESCRIPTION?
We are seeking an intermediate-level skilled Ceramics Instructor to fill a part-time, on-site position and round out our existing team. The Ceramics Instructor will be responsible for upholding our studio values and fostering a friendly, kind, and encouraging environment while teaching adults and/or children of various experience levels how to work with clay.
All our ceramics instructors must be proficient in hand-building, wheel throwing, glazing, and firing. Responsibilities include planning and preparing lesson plans, supervising and guiding students during hands-on activities, providing feedback to the Studio General Manager, and maintaining studio equipment and materials.
Responsibilities:
• Teach adult and/or youth students in wheel throwing, hand-building, glazing, and firing techniques.
• Develop and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to different skill levels.
• Provide hands-on guidance and technical support during classes.
• Maintain studio equipment and ensure a safe and welcoming learning environment.
• Communicate feedback and updates to the Studio General Manager.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of teaching experience at the intermediate level in wheel throwing.
• Advanced skills in trimming and glazing.
• Experience with ceramics including hand-building, wheel throwing, glazing, and firing.
• Strong verbal communication skills to assist both beginners and professional ceramicists.
• Ability to demonstrate proper ceramics techniques and explain the principles behind them.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with children and instructing adults is a plus.
• Experience teaching ceramics in a creative or educational environment is a plus.
