About this class

Get immersed in learning the potters wheel and create hand-thrown ceramics with our expert instructors.

Designed for students who can independently center on the wheel, pull up walls, and create a cylinder, this class will take your skills to the next level. Focus on crafting larger, more complex pieces and developing consistency in size and shape for identical sets with precision. Enhance your throwing, handbuilding, and glazing techniques, learning intermediate skills to create more challenging pieces (8-12 inch total height).

This class is 4 consecutive weeks of 3 hour classes at the listed date, time, and location where you'll learn from our expert instructors, tailored for your own skill level. Each week of instruction will cover a different part of the ceramic creation process:

Week 1 - Wheel throwing demo and practice
Week 2 - Wheel throwing review, practice, and wedging demo
Week 3 - Trimming and handbuilding components (mug handles, vessel lids, carving, etc.)
Week 4 - Glazing and underglazing

Pieces will be ready for pick up 3 weeks after the final class.
