Wheel Throwing: A Beginner Wheel Class (or Just Some Extra Spin Time)

New to the wheel or just craving some extra spin time? This 2-hour guided session is perfect for beginners looking for a low-commitment intro to wheel throwing, or for anyone wanting to refine their skills and throw at their own pace. Make a mug, bowl, or similar piece. This flexible class meets you where you’re at — no pressure, just play.

An instructor will demo at the start and be available throughout for as much (or as little) support as you need. You’ll have time to create a few pieces, and afterward, you can choose to purchase and have them fired and painted. (one piece included in the class, $10 for extra pieces)

Your piece will be bisque fired, then finished with a clear glaze and fired again to make it food and dishwasher safe — perfect for everyday use or gifting.

Pro Tip: For the best experience, we recommend starting with the 2-hour Beginner Wheel Class before jumping into the 3-hour session. It’s a great, low-commitment way to get a feel for the wheel and see if it’s right for you.
