Valentine’s Chocolate Tasting with Mary Luz Mejia and Handbuilt Chocolate Cup

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a delicious dive into the world of chocolate! Guided by Mary Luz Mejia (a Certified Level III chocolate taster and chocolate competition judge) You’ll explore chocolate’s rich history, from its ancient origins to sustainable, modern production.

Savour three locally produced, all-natural chocolate varieties and learn the art of tasting like a connoisseur. You will also be served Chocolate a la Taza or Cioccolata Cala: A rich, thick European specialty popular in Spain, Italy, France, Croatia and beyond- this hot drink made with cacao has a delightful pudding-like texture, made using high-quality dark chocolate melted into hot milk. Intensely creamy and indulgent, it's the best treat for chilly days or nights. (We will provide a vegan version too).

Treat yourself and your special someone to this sweet, unforgettable experience!

Want more? Add on our Chocolate Cup-Making Session!

After the tasting, join us in the handbuilding room to craft your own 2-3 oz chocolate cup with lid—once a luxury item of the elite in the 17th century. Using handbuilding techniques, you’ll create your cup from scratch and choose your favourite glaze from our curated selection. We’ll finish your piece, and it will be kiln-fired, ready to elevate your chocolate experience.

Register for the tasting, the handbuilding session, or both as a package! Spaces are limited—secure your spot today!

Class is held at our Richmond Street Location

*plate is not included in the cup making workshop.
