Master Class - Wheel Throwing: Ramen Bowls - 4 Weeks
Please be sure to review our Studio and Breakage Policy before attending your class.
About this class
In this 4-week pottery wheel class, you’ll create your own set of ramen bowls, complete with a spot for chopsticks and a matching soy sauce dish.
The first week is dedicated to throwing practice, and in the second week, you’ll craft 1 to 4 bowls to keep, depending on your skill level and interests. Week three focuses on trimming, while the final week is for decorating and glazing. Customize your bowls with our collection of transfers, explore underglaze painting, or apply traditional glazing techniques for a unique finish.
This class is 4 consecutive weeks of 3 hour classes at the listed start date, time, and location where you'll learn from our expert instructor, tailored for your own skill level.
Prerequisite: Students must be able to independently center on the wheel and create a tall cylinder.
Pieces will be ready for pick up 3 weeks after the final class.

Instructor - Loubna
Loubna is a self-taught pottery instructor and the founder of something clay.
Without any formal training, Loubna embarked on a journey of exploration, trials, and errors within the realm of clay. The initial idea was to create her own functional pieces made out of clay to fight boredom of covid lockdown.
Imagine a homemade pottery wheel - a labor of love meticulously crafted by her and her dad, little did she know that this humble wheel would become this thing!
Loubna spent countless hours experimenting with different techniques, refining her skills, and creating (very bad) unique pieces at first. Every cup, every bowl, and every SOMETHING she created carried a part of her learning story with CLAY.
Her journey from a complete beginner to this little home studio (casablanca, morocco) has been incredibly rewarding. In november 2022, she moved to Toronto, Canada with her something clay stamp and a whole lot of clay dreams and here we are.
Besides teaching, Loubna loves creating sur mesure clay things and also giving new homes to pieces she make in her everyday practice.
