Craft your very own ceramic to-go coffee mug
Beginner-friendly and intentionally paced, this 2-hour workshop teaches you foundational handbuilding techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab-building to shape a functional piece you’ll actually use. You'll start with a guided demo and receive hands-on support as you bring your mug to life, complete with your own personal touch.
No experience needed — just come ready to create! Your finished To-Go Mug will be bisque fired, glazed, and fired again to make it food-safe and dishwasher-friendly.

What to expect
- Expect to get a bit dirty with clay slip, but all materials used will wipe off with water, or come out in the laundry
- The last 20 minutes of the class will be dedicated to clean-up
- This class is one, 2 hour session including clean up
- This class includes One finished piece that will be bisque fired, coated in a clear glaze, and fired again to make it food and dishwasher safe.
- Any included or purchased pottery will be fired by our team to make it food-safe, and ready for pickup 3 weeks after the class.
What to bring
- Please bring an apron and hand towel for you to use during the class.
- Short trimmed nails are ideal for ceramic creativity, but our team is happy to instruct some work-arounds for acrylics.
Please note:
- Purchases are nonrefundable, and rescheduling requires 72 hours' notice.
- Due to class schedules we are not able to offer make-up classes for multi-week classes.
- The studio is not liable for lost or broken pieces, recognizing explosions and cracks as inherent in the ceramic process.
- Please be sure to arrive on time, late arrivals may be denied entry.
