Coming from a social work background, Sam originally turned to pottery as a form of self-care and healing. After completing a 3-hour workshop at Clay With Me, Sam fell head over heels for ceramics and its therapeutic properties. It was love at first throw!
Having grown up in the music scene, Sam has been heavily influenced by DIY-ethos and challenging the notions of “perfection” while promoting community-building and self-empowerment.
Sam has since dedicated her energy to making art accessible for everyone and fostering a safe space for creative expression.
When Sam isn’t teaching at Clay With Me, you can find her studying at Toronto Art Therapy Institute, on the frontlines of political activism, dancing at concerts, or curled up on the couch with her dogs Bessie and Beans while playing Stardew Valley.
