Gabriela Mariana Angulo is a ceramic artist, educator, and the heart behind Clay With Me. Originally from Argentina, she holds a degree in Ceramics and Visual Arts from Artes del Fuego College, where she also became a professor, teaching pottery for over a decade. Her work was widely recognized and sold across Argentina, earning her a strong reputation as a respected and beloved artist.
In 2010, Gaby made the courageous move to Toronto to begin a new chapter. As a newcomer to Canada, she immersed herself in learning English and building a life from the ground up. She quickly found a sense of belonging within a tight-knit community of mothers who supported one another by taking turns watching each other’s children.
It was during these gatherings that something magical began. Gaby would hand the children clay to play with in her kitchen studio. The kids were captivated. Their joy was infectious—and when they began taking their creations home, the other moms were equally charmed. They urged Gaby to start an after-school program, and what began as a small group of five soon grew into ten and eventually more.
And just like that, Clay With Me was born.
What started in her kitchen became a full-time passion—a space not just for crafting pottery, but for building community, confidence, and creativity. Gaby brings heart, joy, and a playful spirit into every class she teaches. Her story is a reminder that when you follow your passion with courage and love, beautiful things take shape.
She continues to inspire everyone around her—showing us that clay, much like life, holds endless potential in the hands of someone who believes in possibility.
