About this class

Learn the traditional ceramic techniques of Scraffito and Inlay in this 2 week pottery course.

Over the two-week class, we’ll create two pieces, either bowls or cups. In Week 1, we'll shape the pieces on the wheel. In Week 2, we’ll trim the bottoms for refinement, then focus on surface decoration using inlay, sgraffito, and transfer techniques.

Join us for this unique opportunity to push the boundaries of your wheel throwing skills and create stunning large vessels that showcase your artistic vision and technical prowess.

This class is 2 consecutive weeks of 3 hour classes at the listed start date, time, and location where you'll learn from our expert instructor, tailored for your own skill level. Each week of instruction will cover a different part of the ceramic creation process:

Week 1 - Wheel throwing demo and practice
Week 2 - Wheel throwing review, practice, and wedging demo

Completed pieces will be glazed with a clear glaze by the technicians.

Prerequisites: Intermediate level; students must be able to independently center and create a cylinder shape.

Pieces will be ready for pick up 3 weeks after the final class.
